OSFAST

For this project, I together with the team, was in charge of designing a new version of the stakeholder’s logo and website. I reached out to both the team and the stakeholder for feedback I encouraged creativity during the logo design phase and added some custom doodles as a fun extra for the site.

Throughout the process, I focused on making the design user-friendly and aligned with the stakeholder’s needs. As a team we also designed the website prototype. This was so he could interact with the final product which Gabriel and I presented in the final version, which received positive feedback. The experience helped me spot areas for growth and make improvements based on what we learned.

BELCO

For the Belco website project, we developed a high-fidelity prototype that evolved through multiple rounds of feedback and refinement. I designed the homepage and contact page, where I really let my creativity flow through experimenting with different layouts, adding a dark mode, and playing around with fonts and imagery. Starting from simple wireframes, we gradually enhanced the design based on input from peers and instructors, focusing on both functionality and visual consistency. The end result is a sleek, interactive prototype that balances usability with a strong focus to the design they had previously but more playful. Later on when we got seperated into dev groups, I noticed that the main belco programs page for students had a modal pop up box but with a very off design so I wanted to make this as well. I seperately designed a pop up modal in figma, got feedback from peers and coded this right away. Not only is it visually appealing and alligned with the site but also interactable.

PORTFOLIO

For my portfolio I documented the process of how i started sketching ideas to making an interactive paper prototypes and after getting enough feedback from peers and teachers turning these into interactive figma wireframes. I have also user tested and added proof in the documentation below. After fully coding this there will be more usertesting.

development

Let me be real with you... I’m not exactly besties with code. I’ve even told myself I suck at it. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: don’t give up on something until you’ve actually tried. Even if it takes a million attempts. So here I am, still trying. Still coding. This semester, I’ve worked on:

GIT

PORTFOLIO

It was a mess in the beginning. Sadly no image of it but imagine...Just plain links to PDFs, no styling, like a ghost town of a website.

Eventually, I realized I had to actually code. So I went in, created proper HTML files, styled them, and started pushing updates to Git. That made everything trackable, not just for me but also for anyone reviewing. Git turned out to be way more helpful than I expected (especially if you’re working in a team later). Third assessment? I felt good cuz not only did it look much better, but the teachers gave me better grading too. Right after I was focused on making the portfolio more user-friendly and colorful.

  • BELCO

This one was smooth. I teamed up with Gabriel and Matthew, a real dream team. Great communication, strong teamwork, and surprisingly healthy snacks (we banned chips and brought fruit instead). We followed Trello like it was the Bible and hit every deadline. We were productive and fun, which is honestly rare. Our coding went smooth too. But the only minus point was that we did not go often for feedback. Here's what it eventually looked like:

  • BELCO DEV FINAL
  • PUPPADORO

I wanted to make something cute but also push myself to actually use JS for once. I usually avoid it, but this time I gave it a shot. The Puppodoro still needs tweaks (like a ringtone or some fun effects), but the timer works ; pause, reset, retime. Me and the pup are proud.

    OSFAST

While designing i made sure we began working on various moodboards and logo concepts to represent his brand. Each member created multiple iterations based on the brief, trying to recreate Ofast through typography, color, and symbols. After presenting These we received valuable feedback on how to improve the designs. Oscar mentioned that he preffered my moodboard when it came to styling OSFAST's identity. below you can find the figma and documentation for this.

    BELCO

For the prototype, I focused on the homepage and contact page and later on a modal pop up box for programs page, applying all the feedback I’d received to better match the brand’s overall look and feel. I experimented with different fonts, imagery, and even tried out a dark mode version to explore a more modern feel. While I enjoyed playing with that contrast, the clients preferred to stick with a lighter theme to stay true to their original white-based design.

I also made sure to improve consistency across the layout and spacing, bringin typography with the brand’s style guide, and updating the navigation to reflect the main site structure. After testing the updated version, the feedback was positive and confirmed that these changes brought the design closer to what the clients wanted. The second prototype belonged and looked visually aligned with the rest of their site. In the final stage, we focused on fixing minor issues like spacing, alignment, and visual inconsistencies to create a cleaner, more unified design. I helped refining the visual hierarchy so important elements stood out and simplified the navigation for a smoother user experience. The layout was also adjusted to better support future content. The clients were very pleased with the outcome, especially with how well the design now reflects their brand.

my portfolio design has been through some stuff: below you can click iterations portfolio for a whole documentation regarding how my design iterated with the help of feedback and user testing. theres also i figma interactive wireframe in it's progress stage and right under that one a version of what it may look like with the doodles.

for projectx i made moodboards of each characters house on conchstreet and their owners to set the vibe i was going for. I also made sure to sketch out my vison; what i was planning on having in blender. i also picked out references in animated and 3D styles to see what ways this has been experimented with before. Throughout the blender making process i asked for feedback and on how to work with certain tools in the application itself. There wasn't much to alter in the design since this was an already existing design and i simply want to recreate it in blender as a total beginner.

    professional standards

I have documented all my professional standards so far in which you dont see only project plans and team charters but also about giving and receiving feedback or keeping professionalism individually and/or in the team, task management both individually and in teams, communication with clients, exploratory research, and reporting.

    GIVING AND RECEIVING FEEDBACK

learning how to give and receive proper feedback is a skill worth practicing. The art of listening to constructive feedback from others and allowing yourself to accept different perspectives teaches you humbly on what you could always improve. Whenever I felt like I needed a fresh view on what i'm working on, I would make sure to ask either my peers or teachers for feedback. This provided me with more insight to my work. I

    PROJECT PLAN'S, TEAM CHARTER'S & TRELLO'S

organizing and taking (leadership) roles are two very important professional skills to add to this LO. Here i mainly share the (team) plannings and "rules". I initiated the trellos and helped in most team charters and project plans. I think it is important to keep track of your work and planning for consistent, organized and controlled workoverview within the team.

    USER RESEARCH

I have conducted user research in different ways. Figuring out and designing a user journey for belco's users; having a set of questions ready for user testings and having transcribed interviews to form user personas and help us understand the user better.

    OTHER

i couldnt really figure out where to put the following pdf's but want to show that despite the previously mentioned work i have also worked on team feedback calls (or team study calls); client calls; and presenting skills. These help me shape a concrete answer to my research for the projects i had worked on.

Another great thing i cannot miss out was the random presentation ft both Paul & Dirk where we were put into our familiar groups and had to present the most random things based on pictures out of context. We did two rounds and this was not only fun but the learning lesson was that you can present your way out and simply just make up a story if you are stuck midway a presentation. This gave me a lot of confidence and I am more than happy to share that i also won both rounds:

CAREER DAY & SEM 3 COURSE CHOOSING

To make sure that i am developing personaly for myself and my career I have documented several in and out of school activities that help me grow but also understand what future me could do with the study i have chosen. Things that helped me choose my course for the next sem is for example talking to teachers and going to the career day fontys held at TQ. I kept my mind and heart open for the different fields that could hold my future and after a good convincing I chose easily. I enjoyed the career day a lot and spoke to many ICT professionals.

  • MOVING

not too long ago i was living in Sittard and therefore faced many problems from which one of them was being absent or late to school. I decided to moved even though this was a financially difficult desicion for me. I remained patient and calm with the situation and accepted that this will help me more in the future since i will be studying in fontys. Looking back, i do not regret it one bit especially since i am less stressed about getting to uni and save more time to myself and my study.

apart form that ive participated in a few dev bootcamps, the art department, fontys career day and IT festival. Not just that but i attended a careerworkshop that seemed interesting to me since it was based for the future careerpath of students from the dutch caribbean islands (where i'm from). And ofcourse to keep myself on track i have my own trello that i stick to. You can dive deeper into these subjects by clicking the pdf's:
